Moving Services for Homes Close to Rio Rico Golf & Country Club
You'll often find the houses on Camino Caralampi and Calle Calabasas are quiet in the early hours, while golf carts head out to the first tee to beat the mid-morning Arizona heat. There are two types of residents that call Rio Rico Golf & Country Club home: retirees that are here for good or winter visitors who divide their time between here and a colder part of the country. And both of those types need help moving their household belongings.
Our crew has been to the Rio Rico Golf & Country Club area many times before. Homes surrounding the golf course are usually one story homes with tile roofs, most with extended covered patios and attached garages with lots and lots of contents inside. Not every room in those houses is a square though. There may be a living room that is sunken, or a long narrow hallway to get to the master bedroom. Or there is a sliding glass door that leads to a patio with a dresser that will not fit into the patio, or a door too small to allow the dresser through.
What we often deal with around this part of town includes:
- Snowbird and seasonal moving for residents who head north each spring and return by October
- Movers for seniors and country club homeowners looking to downsize from their country club home to a smaller residence in Green Valley or Tucson
- Movers for heavy items such as pool tables, gun safes and large patio chairs and couches, all common in the country club area
- Movers for those that are moving fragile or valuable collections, golf clubs or family heirlooms, or artwork collected while in Tubac, or elsewhere in Arizona
- Small home movers for snowbirds who are moving items from their winter home to a storage unit, or to an empty condo nearby.
Our most common phone call from this area involves a couple near the 9th hole deciding it is time to move their family full-time to be close to their children and grandchildren living in the Phoenix area. They have 30 years of household items, a gun safe sitting in an empty room, and a garage full of tools and equipment. They first contacted some of the "big" nationwide companies but could not understand them or could only get an approximate number from their company representative that had never visited an Arizona location south of Sahuarita. When we arrived for the estimate, we walked through every room and gave them a guaranteed quote that was accurate to the dime. It never changed.
Here's how it works with us. We quote it and you pay it. When the moving day comes, there are no extra hidden charges that we add on to your bill to make up for the things we didn't see earlier in the process.
The streets around the country club in Rio Rico are also a bit of a challenge. Calle Tres has some steep hills on it and some of the driveway turns on Circulo Montana are quite tight, requiring the moving truck to be positioned very carefully. You have to know where to park, the right angle to put your ramp at, and which doors to use. It is not information you can just look at in a screenshot on Google Maps.
However, it might not be a situation where you are moving away from Rio Rico. It might be that you are looking to move from your current home near the country club clubhouse to a new place down near Pendleton. Local moves in that case can be easily handled by one moving truck, one moving crew, and can be done in one day. A lot of the jobs near here can be completed in the same morning.
We can also move items from the country club area to other locations across the US. With our long distance moving trucks, we do not have you put your items in a storage warehouse where other people's items are put in with your furniture. Your belongings go directly into our truck and stay there until the items make their way to your new home. These direct moves usually take around a week.
If you have a move near the Rio Rico Golf and Country Club please call us at (928) 832-6683. Someone who is a mover answers the phone, not a sales person.
Free estimates, no trip fee, and a five-star rating on Google from families just like yours. Let's get your move handled right.
Getting to No Hassle Movers from Rio Rico Golf & Country Club
Our office is located approximately 25 minutes north of the Rio Rico Golf & Country Club in Green Valley. The route is straightforward, following I-19 for the majority of the trip.
Here are the directions our team takes to reach you from 101 S La Cañada Dr:
- Southbound on La Cañada Drive, take the I-19 South ramp and follow signs toward Nogales.
- Remain on I-19 South for about 20 miles. You'll pass Tubac and exit near Tumacácori.
- Use the Rio Rico Drive exit (Exit 17) and proceed east on the road.
- Continue on Rio Rico Drive until it curves left to connect with Camino Caralampi; the Country Club entrance will be on your right.
We're familiar with that segment of I-19, knowing the traffic flow, where the construction near Tubac usually starts, and the best times to schedule a move so we don't waste time waiting on the freeway in the afternoon heat. Most days, that drive from Green Valley to Rio Rico takes less than 25 minutes with zero traffic to speak of.
If you're heading to us for a free in-person estimate, the drive is a simple reversal: take I-19 North, Exit 63 toward Continental Road, and our office is at 101 S La Cañada Dr in that same strip plaza. But, the good news is most people who call us from the Rio Rico Golf & Country Club area don't need to make the trip to Green Valley; we come to you. It takes less than five minutes from the start of your call to have a real mover on the line, not someone reading from a computer script, and we can get your estimate at your house on your schedule.
The one thing that makes us unique in the Rio Rico Country Club area is those roads and homes near the club off of Camino Caralampi and Calle Calabasas. We've worked on homes on winding roads with long driveway approaches and steep inclines. We have the tools needed to load your belongings in a way that ensures nothing is moved or damaged on a slope. It's a simple matter of having the proper equipment on hand and knowing how to position the truck on that grade. It may be a subtle detail, but it's one we think matters when you see someone carrying your furniture to your truck down a hill in the middle of summer.
Summers are hot here in Arizona. Those country roads around the golf and country club can turn into ovens if you move in the heat of the afternoon. We offer early morning and late afternoon moves to you're not moving in the middle of a 105-degree day.
We're insured. We're local and family owned. And we've been serving the Rio Rico area for 8 years, with 20 years of moving experience under our belts. We provide the price on the estimate, and that's the price you pay. There is no trip fee. No unexpected charges when our truck pulls up to your house. That's the No Hassle Promise, backed by a five-star rating on Google. Community discounts for military, veterans, first responders, and seniors apply here too.
Let us know how we can help you get your move scheduled today. Call us at (928) 832-6683 or request a free estimate online and have a real person answer the phone. Most of the time, we can even get back to you the same day.
How Age and Layout of Local Homes Shape a Move
Rio Rico houses tend to sit on much larger lots than most.
We move a lot of homes out here and it can really effect the way a crew does the job and how much furniture can fit in the truck.
Some of the homes in Rio Rico can be one story, ranch-style homes that are set on the hillside from Pendleton Drive to Camino Caralampi. Single story is easier on the back and some of the homes have wide rooms and long hallways. Moving furniture from one bedroom to the truck can be a long distance. Some rooms are as much as 80 feet from where you are loading up the truck.
There are some things that you have when moving in Rio Rico:
- Many of the homes in Rio Rico Drive and Circulo Montana can have long and steep driveways leading down from the road, so the truck is parked up hill, and the furniture is pushed against you.
- Stucco and southwestern-arched doorways or rooms and doorways can make large pieces harder to navigate or fit through doors. King-sized beds and sectionals can be difficult to navigate through the doors.
- Some desert landscaping and rock around the walkways or patios will affect the approach you can take to the front door.
- Some patios are enclosed with outdoor furniture that can weigh a lot heavier after sitting in the Arizona sun for years.
A few other things : Some of the homes in this area can be from a variety of years. Rio Rico was mostly developed in stages from the 1970s-early 2000s. Some homes closer to the original development of Calabasas could have small rooms and limited storage space. This means that the furniture and things that are packed in the truck may be more freestanding or furniture that is not custom-built into the space. This can add up and add time to the move. Newer developments closer to the Meadows subdivision may have larger rooms and larger open floor plans. Families may have larger furniture and we have had some issues moving furniture into the home from Paseo San Luis where the piece barely fit.
A scenario we see all the time is a family that lived in one of the homes on a street off of Calle Calabasas who want to move closer to Nogales or heading towards Sahuarita. They have lived there for 15 years. There is a gun safe in the master bedroom or a hot tub on the patio. They call one of the bigger companies and get one price. On the day of the move, there are other charges. They get upset and start getting suspicious.
That is why we have a flat-rate price. What is given is what you will pay. We do not have trip fees or other surprises. We send someone with experience to look at your needs and give you a free estimate.
We do ask questions about the driveway grade, distance from the truck to your front door, hallways or if the rooms have low-clearance. The local streets and the developments in Rio Rico have quirks and are different from what other companies may have been moving for. We have been out here working and have experience with what areas get flooded in monsoon season, the cul-de-sacs where you cannot get a 26-foot truck in. We have 1 crew on 1 truck. The truck goes from the home in Rio Rico and on to the new home. We handle most local moves in 1 day. Full-service packing is also available when the timeline is tight.
