Some moves are about a new job or a bigger house. These are different. Downsizing after decades in one home, settling a parent's estate, or splitting the year between Tucson and somewhere cooler all carry more weight, and they deserve more care. We help older adults and their families through these moves across Tucson and Southern Arizona, starting at $547 for the first 2 hours with 2 movers and the truck, with a flat rate once we've seen the job.
Moving Into a New Chapter, Handled With Care
We've spent years helping older adults and their families through exactly these transitions, and we've learned that the boxes and the truck are the easy part. The rest takes patience, respect, and a crew that treats your things, and your family, the way we'd want our own treated.
This page is our hub for the three moves we handle most at this stage of life. Each has its own page with the details, but here's a quick look at all three so you can find the right place to start.
Senior Moving
Senior moves are often the most personal moves we do. Sometimes it's a parent leaving the home where they raised their kids. Sometimes it's a downsize to a one-story place, or a move into assisted living or a senior community. Often it's the adult children who call first, frequently from out of state, trying to help a mom or dad from a distance.
We take the pressure off. We move at your family's pace, we're patient with the hard decisions, and we handle everything with dignity and respect. Many of our senior clients are moving into communities where they'll be around people, make friends, and get help with meals and staying active. The move is emotional, but it's often a good next step, and our job is to make it as smooth as possible.

Estate Moving
Estate moves usually mean a house full of decades of belongings and a family trying to sort through it all, often during a difficult time. Whether you're settling a parent's estate, clearing a longtime home for sale, or splitting furniture between family members and a storage unit, we bring patience and an organized plan. We handle treasured furniture and heirlooms with the care they deserve, and we work at a pace that respects what your family is going through.

Snowbird & Seasonal Moving
Snowbirds have a different challenge: two homes and a calendar built around the weather. You head out before Tucson's summer heat sets in, and you come back before winter hits wherever else you live. These moves are often partial, with only some of your things going back and forth, and timing is everything. We plan around the seasons, hold flexible windows when your dates aren't set, and can help you sort out portable storage containers when a full move isn't what you need. And you can come back to the same crew each year.

What These Moves Cost
All three start at the same rate: $547 for the first 2 hours with 2 movers, the truck, travel, and furniture protection, then $127 an hour. Once we've seen the home in person or through photos and video, we can give you a guaranteed flat rate instead, and that's the price you pay.
- A flat-rate quote covers everything the job needs, including packing supplies and mirror, art, and TV boxes.
- On an hourly job, packing labor, supplies, and those specialty boxes are added only if you need them.
- Extra movers, specialty items like a piano or gun safe, and unpacking are priced separately and always shown to you before moving day.
- There's no trip fee, and weekends, holidays, and last-minute moves cost the same as any other day. That matters when an assisted living room opens on a Saturday or a probate deadline won't wait.
A deposit, typically $150, holds your date and comes off your final bill. Financing is available, and seniors qualify for our community discounts. Each child page has the full price breakdown for that kind of move, and you can see how we price every move here.
Serving Tucson's Retirement Communities and Beyond
A lot of this work happens in and around the region's retirement communities. We move seniors and snowbirds throughout Green Valley and Sahuarita, home to well-known 55+ communities like Quail Creek and continuing-care communities like La Posada, as well as SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch on the north side of Tucson. We also serve active-adult and senior communities in Oro Valley, like Sun City Oro Valley, and assisted living and senior communities across Tucson and the Catalina Foothills.
Wherever you're headed, we know the gate codes, the HOA move-in rules, and the loading-dock and elevator schedules these communities require, so the move goes smoothly from the first box to the last. Need everything boxed up first? Our packing services crew can handle it.
If you're still weighing options for a parent, Pima County Public Library keeps a list of community resources for seniors in the area.
Why Families Trust No Hassle Movers
We're locally owned and family operated, with more than 20 years of moving experience and eight years serving Tucson. We show up on time, we quote flat rates with no surprise fees, and you always reach a real person on the phone, never a call center. If anything gets damaged, our first step is to repair it.
But what families tell us matters most is simpler than that: we're kind, we're patient, and we treat their parents and their belongings with real care. When you're helping someone you love through a big change, that's what counts. That's the heart of our No Hassle Promise, and it's why No Hassle Movers doesn't leave until you've checked everything.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between senior moving, estate moving, and snowbird moving?
Senior moving helps an older adult relocate, often downsizing or moving into a senior or assisted living community, with extra patience and care. Estate moving handles a full house of belongings, often when settling a parent's estate or clearing a longtime home. Snowbird and seasonal moving is for people who split the year between two homes and need seasonal, often partial, moves.
How much do senior, estate, and snowbird moves cost?
All three start at $547 for the first 2 hours with 2 movers, the truck, travel, and furniture protection, then $127 an hour. Once we've seen the home, we can give you a guaranteed flat rate that includes the supplies the job needs. There's no trip fee, and weekends and holidays cost the same.
Do you offer discounts for seniors?
Yes. Seniors qualify for our community discount, and financing is available if spreading out the cost helps. Mention it when you call so we can apply it to your quote.
Do you move people into retirement communities in Green Valley and around Tucson?
Yes. We move seniors and snowbirds into and out of retirement and active-adult communities throughout Green Valley and Sahuarita, SaddleBrooke, Oro Valley, and assisted living and senior communities across Tucson and the Catalina Foothills. We're familiar with the gate codes and HOA move-in rules these communities use.
Can you work with families who live out of state?
Yes. We often coordinate with adult children helping a parent move from a distance. We keep you informed, quote flat rates with no surprises, and make sure a real person is always reachable by phone, so you can trust the move is handled even if you can't be there.
How far ahead should we book?
Two to three weeks ahead is ideal for senior and estate moves, and four to six weeks for snowbird moves, since October and April fill up fast. If your dates aren't set yet, call anyway, and we can hold a window while your plans firm up.
